Scarf Knitting Description:

Cast on 3 stitches and knit in garter stitch, starting with the wrong side row. For the slopes, increase decoratively from the left edge * in the next 2nd row 1 time 1 stitch and in the next 4th row 1 time 1 stitch, repeat from * 5 times, then increase decoratively 5 more times in each 4th row by 1 stitch and 11 times in each 6th row by 1 stitch = 29 stitches.

For the hood: Continue knitting in the next right side row on the first 17 stitches, transfer the remaining 12 stitches to an auxiliary needle. In the 1st row, increase 6 stitches evenly distributed on the 17 working stitches = 23 stitches. For shaping the hood, increase decoratively first 5 times in every 2nd row, then 3 times in every 4th row, and finally 1 more time in the next 6th row by 1 stitch = 32 stitches. In the next 18th row, then 2 times in every 4th row and 6 times in every 2nd row, decrease decoratively by 1 stitch = 23 stitches = the middle of the hood, seamlessly knitted with the scarf.

To shape the opposite half of the hood, increase decoratively first 6 times in every 2nd row, then 3 times in every 4th row by 1 stitch = 32 stitches. In the next 18th row, then 1 time in the 6th row, 2 times in every 4th row, and 5 more times in every 2nd row, decrease decoratively by 1 stitch = 23 stitches. In the last row of the hood, decrease 6 stitches evenly distributed = 17 stitches. Leave these stitches on an auxiliary needle. For the back part of the scarf, continue knitting on the 12 transferred stitches in garter stitch, increasing decoratively on both sides 1 time in the 1st row and 1 more time in the next 6th row by 1 stitch = 16 stitches.

Then decrease decoratively on both sides 1 time in the next 12th row and 1 time in the next 6th row by 1 stitch = 12 stitches. Mark the middle of these knitted 24 rows from the beginning of the back part of the scarf for the subsequent seam. Now transfer the 17 reserved stitches of the hood to the working needle and join with the 12 stitches of the back part of the scarf = 29 stitches. Continue working on these stitches.

For the slopes, decrease decoratively from the left edge in the 1st row, then 11 times in every 6th row, and 4 times in every 4th row by 1 stitch, then decrease decoratively * 1 time in the next 4th row, then 1 time in the next 2nd row by 1 stitch, repeat from * 5 times = 3 stitches. Bind off these 3 stitches.

Assembly: Sew the 12 rows marked in the middle of the back part of the scarf to the first and last 12 rows of the hood. Sew the back seam of the hood. Make 3 pom-poms with a diameter of 5 cm and attach to the ends of the scarf and the tip of the hood.
