Knit chart.
Knit around front and back top piece to join in the round.

2x2 rib for 6 inches to create a folded-down collar for the funnel.
Right Wing:
Cast on 12 st
St-st 14 rows
Ssk at beginning of next and every 4 rows until 9 stitches remain
SSK at beginning of every knit row until 5 stitches remain
Cast off.
Left Wing: As for right, but instead of SSK at the start of the row, K2tog at the end of the row.
To make up: Sew the back base to the front piece, sewing in the wings in position. Sew the wing tips to the front of the penguin’s tummy to stop them flapping around (unless that’s what you prefer, but I found it annoying). Sew the top piece to the front piece, stopping short a row or two before the beginning of the rip. Sew on three buttons underneath the buttonhole spaces. Then insert your hot water bottle and you’re all done.
