Pullover with a Flower
Back: Cast on 84 stitches, knit 9 rows in garter stitch. Then, switch to reverse stockinette stitch and after 5 cm, decrease 1 stitch on both sides every 14th row, 4 times. After reaching 22 cm, you should have 76 stitches. Knit straight for 7 cm, then increase 1 stitch on both sides every 10th row, 3 times. At 47 cm, you should have 82 stitches. For the raglan shaping on the left side, decrease 3 stitches once, 2 stitches once, and 1 stitch 17 times every 2nd row. At the same time, for the neckline shaping on the right side, decrease 3 stitches once, 2 stitches twice, 4 stitches 5 times, and 3 stitches 10 times every 2nd row. Knit the remaining 3 stitches together and fasten off.
Front: Work symmetrically to the back.
Sleeve: Cast on 56 stitches, knit 8 rows in garter stitch. Then, switch to reverse stockinette stitch and evenly increase 16 stitches in the first row = 72 stitches. At 5 cm, for sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch on both sides every 6th row, 6 times. At 22 cm, you should have 84 stitches. For the raglan shaping, decrease 3 stitches once, 2 stitches once, and 1 stitch 17 times on both sides every 2nd row = 40 stitches. Bind off all remaining stitches.
Assembly: Sew raglan and side seams. On the sleeve, fold in a pleat and secure it. Then, crochet a border along the entire top edge:
1st row – single crochet in the back loop only.
2nd row – half-double crochet in the back loop of the previous row (work loosely).
Repeat rows 1 and 2. After 8 rows from the start of the border, finish off the work.
Flower: Crochet 5 chain stitches, join into a ring. Into the ring, crochet 14 double crochets. Then chain 3, make 1 slip stitch into the next stitch, repeat to the end of the row – you should have 6 loops of 3 chain stitches each. In each loop, crochet 7 double crochets. Chain 3, and crochet 3 more double crochets into each stitch. Sew the flower onto the pullover or make it into a brooch by sewing a pin on the back.
Clutch: Crochet a chain of 50 stitches, crochet single crochet until the piece measures 21 cm. Fold the piece in half and sew the sides. Crochet a border along the top edge as for the pullover. If desired, sew in a lining. Add a zipper. Crochet a flower as for the pullover and either sew it on or make it into a brooch by attaching a pin on the back.
