Instructions:
Sizes: head circumference 50-54 cm, hat circumference 50 cm, height 25 cm.
Materials needed: 2 skeins of yarn of your choice:
- peach, terracotta, cream, or dark green Schachenmayr Textura Soft (42% wool, 28% polyamide, 19% nylon, 10% alpaca, 1% elastane, 25 g/110 m);
- pink, mustard, or light gray Schachenmayr Alpaca Couture (48% alpaca, 36% cotton, 15% polyamide, 1% elastane, 25 g/113 m);
- burgundy Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120 (100% merino wool, 50 g/120 m);
- denim melange Schachenmayr Fashion Pieces (58% viscose, 34% wool, 8% nylon, 30 g/102 m);
- indigo or burgundy Schachenmayr Soft Mix (45% polyamide, 30% alpaca, 25% wool, 25 g/125 m);
- blue diamond Schachenmayr Soft Shimmer (50% wool, 50% nylon, 25 g/125 m); set of double-pointed needles and circular needles No. 4.
Stockinette stitch. In the round: knit all stitches.
Stitch doubling. From 1 stitch, make 2 stitches: 1 knit and 1 knit twisted.
Knitting gauge. Stockinette stitch: 21 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Cast on 8 sts on double-pointed needles, distribute them onto 3 needles, and join in the round.
1st round: double all stitches = 16 sts.
Distribute stitches evenly onto 4 double-pointed needles. If necessary, switch to circular needles. 2nd round, and all even rounds: knit all stitches.
3rd round: * double 1 st, 1 knit, repeat from * = 24 sts.
5th round: * double 1 st, 2 knits, repeat from * = 32 sts.
7th round: * double 1 st, 3 knits, repeat from * = 40 sts.
9th round: * double 1 st, 4 knits, repeat from * = 48 sts.
11th round: * double 1 st, 5 knits, repeat from * = 56 sts.

19th round: * double 1 st, 9 knits, repeat from * = 88 sts.
21st round: * double 1 st, 10 knits, repeat from * = 96 sts.
23rd round: * double 1 st, 11 knits, repeat from * = 104 sts.
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch without increases. After 25 cm from the cast-on edge, bind off all stitches loosely. Draw the cast-on edge stitches together with the end of the yarn.
