Repeat the general pattern four (five, six) more times, then repeat 1-7 rounds once.

Note: before changing the yarn, put the rsm one st back word, so all round is worked with the new color. You don't need to change rsm place in round nine for this repetition.

Change to crimson yarn and work the 8-16 rounds of the general pattern once. Repeat the general pattern once more. Knit one round, then purl one round. Bind off all sts using a stretchy method. Weave in loose ends.

The waist band rope:

Cut two strands of yarn, each measuring 80" (90", 90") [200 (225, 250) cm] approximately, twist the strands tightly together in the same direction, then fold them in half, allowing them to coil naturally into a rope-like cord. For added thickness, you can braid the strands instead. Leave extra length at both ends to create the fringe, securing the twists with knots if needed. Thread the finished rope through the eyelets of the upper ribbed band, using a tapestry needle or safety pin for easier insertion. Adjust and trim the fringe as desired, 50" (56", 62") [125 (140, 155) cm] approximately.
