  2. Height: 5½” (14cm)

Requirements:

  1. DK yarn (around 14g of acrylic DK)
  2. 4mm needles


Tension / Gauge:

22sts = 4” (10cm)


Instructions:

Cast on 61sts

Start with a garter stitch border - knit 6 rows

Row 7: S1, knit to end of row

Row 8: S1, purl to last st, k1

Row 9: S1, knit to end of row

Row 10: S1, p2, k3, * p3, k3, repeat from * to last st, k1

Row 11: S1, knit to end of row

Row 12: S1, purl to last st, k1

Row 13: S1, knit to end of row

Row 14: S1, p2, k3, * p3, k3, repeat from * to last st, k1

Row 15: S1, knit to end of row

Row 16: S1, purl to last st, k1

Row 17: S1, knit to end of row

Row 18: S1, knit to end of row

Repeat the last 12 rows (rows 7 – 18) once more

Shape the top ~

Row 1: * K4, k2tog, repeat from * last st, k1 (51sts)

Rows 2, 4, 6, & 8: S1, purl to last st, k1

Row 3: * K3, k2tog, repeat from * to last s, k1 (41sts)

Row 5: * K2, k2tog, repeat from * to last st, k1 (31sts)

Row 7: * K1, k2tog, repeat from * to last st, k1 (21sts)

Row 9: * K2tog, repeat from * to last st, k1 (11sts)

Row 10: S1, purl to last st, k1

Cut the yarn leaving a ‘tail’ to use for sewing up

With a yarn needle, pull the yarn through all the remaining loops and secure

Sew up side seam and darn away ends.
