What I used:
- About 10g of leftover yarn from one of our Scarf and Blanket knit kits (or we recommend this yarn).
- 6.00mm needles. You can get these from our website, otherwise we recommend these ones.
- Tapestry needle, like this one.
- Scissors
- Tape measure
You can use any yarn you can find, that are suitable with 6.00mm needles.
Step-By-Step
- Cast on 6 stitches.
- Knit until you reach 14 cm in height.
- Cast off the first 2 stitches, then knit until the end of the row. Your knit should now look like this.
- For the next row, cast off the first 2 stitches, then knit until the end of the row. Since we cast off 2 x 2 stitches at the beginning of each row, we are left with 2 stitches on our needle, located in the centre. Your knit now looks like this.
- Knit the two stitches for a height of 6 cm from the last cast off, then cast off all the stitches.
- Optional: make a tassel and attach to the end of your bookmark using a simple double knot.
