I used DK yarn and 4mm needles, though 4ply yarn and 3.25mm needles would also work well and result in smaller sizes.

Row 4: S1, kfb, k8, kfb, k4, kfb, k8, kfb, k2 31sts
Row 5: S1, p10, pfb, p6, pfb, p11, k1 33sts
Row 6: S1, k1, kfb, k8, kfb, k8, kfb, k8, kfb, k3 37sts
Row 7: S1, purl to last st, k1
Row 8: S1, k21, s1, k1, psso, turn
Row 9: S1 purlwise, p7, p2tog, turn
Row 10: S1, k7, s1, k1, psso, turn
