    To make up
You may need to pull the rings into shape to make them good circles, then block them. Put all three layers together with the right sides on the outside. Using a length of biscuit-colour yarn, sew a circle just inside the edge with stem stitch, sewing through all three layers, creating a slightly raised edge around the biscuit.
Using the same colour yarn, oversew the edges of the heart-shaped hole. There is no need to go through all three layers here, you can just sew it down to the red filling.
