This is a free form style so I have not added a gauge – you want a fabric you love
Finished piece: Circumference 31.5” (stretch to 34”) / Width 15” Approx
Steam blocking serves this project best

MATERIALS:
2 Skeins - Asylum Fibers Bulky Merino Chain Yarn - 109 yards per skein
12 mm 24” circular needle
Large needle to weave ends

Stitches Used / Abbreviations:

co – cast on (using long tail cast on method)
bo – bind off
k – knit
st - stitch

COWL
CO 73
Knit 6 Rows (3 garter ridges)
Row 7: Knit, Place marker, join to work in the round, being careful not to twist sts.
Round 8 - 52: knit in the round
*** add rounds here for a wider cowl ***

The next rows you will turn your work and stop knitting in the round when you hit the marker at the end of Round 52
Rows 53- 56: knit (3 garter ridges)

Knit 20 Rows
bo – leaving a long tail for seaming

Block before assembly

ASSEMBLY

Wrap the band around the cowl where the garter ridge row openings are

Then seam the band

Weave in all ends
