Make in pairs using dk yarn and 4mm needles. 14grams of dk yarn for 1 pair of mittens

Cast on 30 stitches.

Rib stitch – k1, p1 repeat until end of the row.

Repeat for 9 more rows.

Change to stocking stitch and knit for 18 rows.

Total rows 28

Shape the top:

Row 1- s1, k1, psso, k11, k2tog, s1, k1, psso, k11, k2tog.

Row 2- purl

Row 3- s1, k1, psso, k9,k2tog, s1, k1, psso, k9,k2tog

Cast off and leaving a long tail sew along the top and down the side.

Large preemie mittens

Cast on 24 stitches using dk yarn and 4mm needles. you will need 8grams of dk yarn

Rib stitch – k1, p1 repeat until end of the row.

Repeat for 5 more rows.

Change to stocking stitch and knit for 14 rows.

Total rows 20

Shape the top:

Row 1- s1, k1, psso, k8, k2tog, s1, k1, psso, k8, k2tog.

Row 2- purl

Row 3- s1, k1, psso, k6, k2tog, s1, k1, psso, k6, k2tog

Cast off and leaving a long tail sew along the top and down the side.
