St st, start with p, till you measure 2 inches.
Next: k2tog, k to last 2 sts, k2tog (9 sts)
Next: p
Repeat last two rows till you get 1 st.
Leaf and stalk:
CO 2 sts, using brown yarn.
Row 1: k
Row 2: k1, m1, k1 (3 sts)
Row 3: k
Row 4: k1, pm, k1, pm, k1
Row 5: k
Row 6: k to marker, m1, sl marker, k1, sl marker, m1, k to the end of the row

Repeat last two rows till you get 11 sts.
