Bird Bottom

BO and break yarn
Bird Beak
CO 10 onto 2 dpn, join for knitting in the round
Knit 3 rounds
Break yarn and thread through 10 stitches, pull tight
Bird Wings
CO 8 onto 2 dpn, join for knitting in the round
Knit 12 rounds
Break yarn and thread through 8 stitches, pull tight
Finishing
Attach beak approx. one-third of the way from the top. French knot eyes. Attach wings (I also attach the wing at the bottom, too, with a stitch or two, so they don’t stick up). For the tuft at the top of the bird I used extra yarn and tied loops on the top. Mattress stitch bottom of bird to body and fill with stuffing before closing.
