sel s – selvage stitch: always slip the first stitch knitwise, work to the last stitch, purl the last stitch

Mangrove kitchen towel knitting pattern:

Towel width: 24.5 cm (10 in)

Cast on 42 sts or any other number multiple of 2 sts, plus 2 selvage stitches.

Row 1-6: sel s, knit all stitches, sel s.

Row 7-8: sel s, k3 *k1, p1– repeat from*, k3, sel s.

Row 9: sel s, knit all stitches, sel s.

Row 10: sel s, knit all stitches, sel s.

Repeat Rows 7-10 until you reach the desired length of the towel.

At the end repeat Rows 1-6.

Bind off all stitches using any method you know.

Scandinavian Bind off: *insert the tip of the right-hand needles purlwise, holding it in front of the work, then insert the tip of the same needle knitwise into the second stitch, wrap the yarn and pull it through.
